Celebrating 40 Years of LEDCOM – Supporting Business, Building Community

2025 marks a major milestone for LEDCOM — 40 years of empowering businesses, nurturing entrepreneurs, and championing community economic development across Larne, Ballyclare, and beyond.

Since our formation in 1985, LEDCOM (Local Economic Development Company) has been at the heart of Northern Ireland’s enterprise landscape. From helping new businesses take their first steps, to providing workspace, mentorship, and community partnerships — we’ve proudly supported thousands of individuals and organisations in achieving their goals.

Four Decades of Impact

Over the past 40 years, LEDCOM has grown from a small local initiative into a regional enterprise support hub. Our work has helped:

  • Create and sustain thousands of local jobs

  • Launch and grow hundreds of startups and social enterprises

  • Provide accessible, affordable workspace in Larne and Ballyclare

  • Deliver mentoring, training, and business development programmes

  • Strengthen community wealth through inclusive and strategic partnerships

As part of our growth, LEDCOM now manages four enterprise locations, offering flexible workspace for businesses of all sizes:

  • Bank Road Business Park, Larne

  • Willowbank Business Park, Larne

  • Foundry House, Ballyclare

  • The Work Cube, Ballyclare

These spaces have become home to dozens of businesses and community-focused organisations, creating vibrant local enterprise hubs.
