Business Led NI is a newly formed social enterprise that is part of the Local Economic Development Company (LEDCOM) Limited, charitable group.  LEDCOM and Business Led NI have excellent track records, over the past 27 years working closely with the public, charity and private sectors, including the arts sector.  We also continue to help support social enterprise and community development across Northern Ireland through our different support programmes. Our team seek to provide a quality, professional service tailored to customers’ requirements and aims to give complete customer satisfaction across all LEDCOM charity group services. This capability statement outlines in more detail our track record and achievements.




As a social enterprise Business Led NI help and support community based organisations, social enterprises and private and public organisations.  As a rural based social enterprise we have full knowledge and understanding of the issues that affect rural and social enterprise development.







Business Led was asked by the board of East Belfast Mission to carry out a strategic review of the current staffing levels and operational activities of this charity; with the end results helping the organisation to develop a new strategy plan to enable them to be in a stronger strategic position.


This was an intensive project that lead to the restructuring of the organisation. The restructuring plan was also developed by Business Led.

“OakleeTrinity has worked with ChainHR on a range of projects including Management and Staff Development, Executive Coaching and most recently a Strategic Planning Project during 2014/15 to assist the Board and Senior Management team develop a 3 year plan for the business following a recent merger.


In particular, recognising that there would be a need for follow on training, OakleeTrinity focused on identifying a company that it could build a positive relationship with and assist with Strategic Planning, Change Management and Staff Training.


The ChainHR consultancy team provided a comprehensive strategic planning service offering excellent support, analysis and professional documentation to the Board and Senior Management Team throughout the process.  The output has been a detailed report that will be of great benefit to OakleeTrinity over the next 3 years”
